Abengoa Concessões Brasil Holding won three lots and individual lots were won by Copel Geração e Transmissão, CPFL Geração de Energia, Consórcio Paranaíba State Grid Brazil Holding, Copel Geração e Transmissão, Furnas Centrais Elétricas and Consórcio Triângulo Mineiro Fundo de Investimento em Participações Caixa Milão, Furnas Centrais Elétricas.
Combined investment reaches 4.3bn reais (US$2.08bn), construction is due to take 22-36 months and concession contracts will run 30 years.
The lines will be built in states Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, São Paulo and Tocantins.
