With the ongoing improvements in the US and continued strength in Asia, managing director Paul O'Malley of Australia's BlueScope Steel sees a positive sign in the steel market. O'Malley said that of the company's building products division, it is seeing continuing strong performance in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, and momentum is gathering in our North American coated products business. Moreover, due to currency depreciation, the company is getting softer trading conditions in Indonesia but the growth expects to resume in the medium term.
