A person in the know revealed that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has nailed down how to grant 4G licenses. TD-LTE licenses will be concurrently granted to top three carriers while LTE FDD licenses later.
The specific timetable for granting 4G licenses has not been decided. Rampant talks said early or late November. One thing is certain, according to earlier news from the government agency, 4G licenses will surely be granted within 2013.
