Gazprom Neft-Controlled Energy Company Will Help Build Serbia's First Wind Farm

The Moscow Times reported that a Gazprom Neft-controlled energy company will help build Serbia's first wind farm.

Naftna Industrija Serbia, which is 56.5%controlled by Gazprom Neft, signed a deal last week with Serbian Energowind to build a wind farm in Plandiste,Serbia.

The wind installation,Serbia's first, will have 34 generators and a capacity of 102 megawatts.

Each company will take 50 percent of the wind farm, which Gazprom says is the first electricity-generating facility to be built in Serbia in 25 years.

Interfax reported that the cost of the wind farm is estimated at EUR 160 million(USD 211 million). That price includes preparatory work and the cost of obtaining the relevant permits.
