According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 181,432 tons in February, soaring by 59% from a month ago and jumping by more than 3 times.
The surge in HRC exports was boosted by the increased exports to the EU with 165,701 tons, soaring from 25,449 tons in February.
Meanwhile, the country’s exports of steel plates totaled 4,804 tons in February, falling by 28.2% from a month ago.
In the first two months of this year, Turkey exported 295,377 tons of HRC, increasing by three folds.
