The investments represent one of the largest projects in the company's history.
NYCO sales and marketing director Sander Kool said: "Our focus is quality and flexibility which we achieve by constant innovation and investment.
"NYCO's markets of food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical are constantly evolving and it is important for us to maintain our position of leadership.
"As a leading Swiss packaging producer, NYCO has always made investments that focus on our customers' needs.
"This investment is no different and provides our customers with access to the highest quality printing technology and the flexibility that they need in their dynamic consumer markets."
In recent months, the new building as well as the entire infrastructure for the new printing machine have been installed and are now fully operational.
Built by Italian manufacturer Omet, the new UV Flexo Hybrid machine has proved its way through the extensive series of tests and is being commissioned for operative production as off the end of July 2013.
Nyco is a well-known leader in the production of shrink sleeves, lidding films and foils and reel fed material for the dairy, confectionery, pharmaceutical and beverage markets.
