Recently, the transaction prices of China Steel Corp. (CSC)’s electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rods have remained firm in the Taiwanese steel market.
It’s known that the transaction prices of CSC’s EF Al-killed wire rods have reached NT$25,500~NT$26,000/ton before CSC’s new price announcement. Moreover, it surged to NT$25,700~NT$25,800/ton after CSC hiked its list prices.
For the prospect, industry sources expected that CSC’s EF Al-killed wire rod transaction prices would rise further in the short term, driven by tight supply and Taiwanese screw makers’ good performance in export markets.
