Brazil's Steel Production Fell 5.7% in This January Compared to The Same Month in 2012

According to World Steel Association’s data reported that Brazil’s steel production fell 5.7% in this January compared to the same month in 2012, dropped from 2.78 million tons to 2.62 million tons. The data compared to the steel production level in last December, it had a slightly increase of 0.6%.

For steel production of other major steel producers have indicated the data showed that the China as largest steel producer in the world produced 59.3 million tons in this January, up by 4.6% year on year. Meanwhile, Japanese steel production totaled 8.9 million tons, up by 2.7%. Besides, United States produced 7.3 million tons in the period, dropped by 5.8% and EU had dropped by 5% to 13.45%.
