European Crude Stainless Steel Output in 2012 Decrease by 1% Year on Year

The Germany-based service center Damstahl reported that the European crude stainless steel output totaled 7 million tons in the first 11 months of 2012, decreasing by 1% year on year.

Meanwhile, Damstahl predicted that the European crude stainless steel production would be at around 7.5 million tons in 2012, falling from 7.6 million tons in 2011.

The report indicated that the German stainless steel market has shown a sign to rebound in 2013.

In addition, Damstahl predicted that the activity in the building and construction sectors will remain flat in 2013 while it expected a growth of 3%~7% in automotive industry.
