CISA States That in Early February The Average Aggregate Daily Crude Steel Output of Large

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in early February (Feb.1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.7014 million mt, up 6.1 percent compared to late January (Jan. 21-31). In early February, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 1.9889 million mt, indicating an increase of 4.4 percent compared with late January.

Total crude steel output in China witnessed a sharp increase in early February due to Chinese steelmakers’ increased enthusiasm for production amid improved orders and ongoing increases in steel prices even though rawmaterials were also more expensive.
