Sony's Continuous Losses for 8 quarter, Sold the Office Building

Sony has sold the main office "Sony CityOsaki" in Tokyo by the 111.1 billion yen (about 1.2 billion dollars).

The office building is 25 stories high, was completed in 2011 in March, covering an area of 124,000 square meters, containing 5000 employees, mainly product the TV and audio equipment. After the sale, Sony would continue to work here for 5 years, And in the middle of February, Sony has sold the headquarters building located in New York to ChetritGroup investment group for 1.1 billion dollars, Sony said that it is excepted that after pay for the debt, the cash proceeds is about 770 million dollars.

According to the latest financial data released by Sony in early February, in the fourth quarter of 2012, the net loss was 10.8 billion yen (about 115 million dollars). This is the eighth consecutive quarter of Sony recorded a net loss.
