According to data released by the Turkey’s Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB), the country’s steel exports totaled 1.57 million tons in January, falling by 5.4% from a month ago while rising by 1.5% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s steel export revenues totaled US$1.16 billion in January, falling by 7.9% from a month ago and decreasing by 4.9% year on year.
In January, the Middle East was the largest importer of the Turkish steel with 472,300 tons; the EU was the second largest one with 221,700 tons and Latin America was the third largest one with 96,100 tons.
