According to data released by the Eurofer, the EU imported 1.589 million tons of steel products in this February, rising by 36.16% year on year and increasing by 6.44% from a month ago.
Among them, 1.331 million tons were steel flat products, soaring by 46.9% year on year and increasing by 8.47% from a month ago; 254,000 tons were steel long products, down by 1.55% year on year and falling by 3.05% month on month.
In the first two months of this year, the EU’s imports of steel products amounted to 3.074 million tons, rising by 36.44% year on year. Among them, 2.558 million tons were steel flat products, increasing by 45.67%; 516,000 tons were steel long products, up by 3.82%, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
