The US’s imports of stainless steel products totaled 74,713 tons in March, falling by 4.3% from a month ago, according to data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Among them, the imports of coiled stainless plates totaled 5,274 tons, slumping by 38.18%; those of cut-length stainless plates were at 2,848 tons, decreasing by 18.8%; those of hot rolled stainless sheets were at 5,473 tons, falling by 22.1%; those of cold rolled stainless sheets were at 19,848 tons, increasing by 10.7%, all compared to those in a month ago.
