Russian Mining and Steelmaking Sees Its Crude Steel Output to Reached 3.86 Million Tons

According to report, Russian mining and steelmaking group sees its crude steel output to reached 3.86 million tons in April- June quarter, about 4~5% rise from January-March quarter. The company just reported its first quarter output was 3.7 million tons, a slight increase quarter from quarter to 0.5%. The facilities operated close to maximum utilization rate. NLMK 's total sales in the first quarter, including steel products and pig iron, increasing by 2% to 3.8 million tons. In addition, the steel flat sales increased by 8% from last quarter and sales of value-added products rose by 9% from last quarter to 1.3 million tons. The domestic sales accounts for 36% of the total sales and rest from the foreign sales is 64% of total. The major export markets are Europe, the US, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
