The Country's Exports of Hot Rolled Coils (HRC) Fall by 4% From a Year Ago

According to statistics released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), the country’s exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 5.3 million tons in 2012, falling by 4% from a year ago.

Industry sources said that the country’s decreased HRC exports were caused by the uncertain economy.

In 2012, Korea’s HRC exports to Japan decreased by 4%; those to Vietnam slumped by 24% while those to Indonesia increased by 27%, all compared to the figures in a year ago.
