Foreign media said that China and Costa Rica have inked agreement, according to which China will offer loans worth USD 400 million to Costa Rica.
Most of the loans come from The Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank). The lender revealed that it will offer loans worth USD 296 million to fund a local highway expansion project.
Additional loans worth USD 101 million will be used for local exchange of 16,000 public transportation vehicles. Both loans are pending approval from local congress.
