Erdemir, the largest steelmaker in Turkey released its financial result for the first quarter of this year. The company posted net profits of TRY 228.25 million for the first quarter of this year, soaring by 84.14% year on year.
In the first quarter of this year, Erdemir realized sales revenues of TRY2.42 million, remaining flat in comparison of the figures in the same quarter of 2012. Meanwhile, its operating incomes amounted to TRY320.07 million, jumping from TRY118.81 million in the same period of a year ago. Besides, the company’s crude steel output in the first three months of this year totaled 900,000 tons, increasing by 8.2% year on year.
