Australian Dollar Fell to Its Lowest Level in More Than Three Months

The Australian dollar fell to its lowest level in more than three months amid a weak night on global stock markets, before paring a little of its loss.

At 6.30am AEDT the currency was trading at 102.86 US cents, down from 103.30 cents at yesterday’s local close.

The dollar dropped to 102.74 US cents, its lowest level since October 24, early today as stock markets in the US and Europe lost ground.

London's FTSE 100 finished its session down 1.06 per cent while Paris' CAC 40 lost 1.15 per cent. In the US, the Dow Jones, the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ were all trading lower ahead of their close.
