While sustainability is growing ever louder as a packaging buzzword, a wealth of questions about the concept and its potential impact on the industry remain.

The vast majority (94 percent) of packaging professionals indicate sustainability comes into play when making packaging decisions.
Most respondents (71 percent) believe that lack of recovery of materials is a barrier to improving sustainability of packaging
Nearly all respondents (96 percent) believe it is vital to significantly improve packaging recycling over the next five years as part of overall sustainability efforts.
Gail Tavill, vp of sustainable development for ConAgra Foods and president of AMERIPEN (American Institute for Packaging and the Environment) will offer insight into the crucial role that packaging professionals play in increasing sustainability on a global scale.
