The Value of Metallurgical Production in Belarus Increased by Five Percent

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first two months of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by five percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 6.486 trillion ($0.75 billion).

In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus increased by 0.5 percent to 456,200 mt, output of rolled steel went down by eight percent to 393,300 mt, while domestic production of steel pipes declined by 6.6 percent to 37,200 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
