Japanese Steelmakers Starts Price Negotiation of Electrical Galvanized Steel Sheets

Reportedly, the Japanese steelmakers are going to start price negotiation of electrical galvanized steel sheets for July with Asian buyers next week. It's learned that the as Japanese steelmakers are considering remaining prices unchanged for July since they may face difficulty to raise the prices successfully due to deceased steel prices in international market. In fact, the Japanese steelmakers previously planned to raise the prices for July since the country's exports of electrical galvanized steel sheets rebounded slightly by 5% year on year in the second quarter of this year. However, the Asian steelmakers such as Posco and China Steel Corp. (CSC) may cut prices for electrical galvanized steel sheets slightly for July. Therefore, it's said that the Japanese steelmakers might remain the prices for electrical galvanized steel sheets unchanged for July.
