According to data released by Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s imports of steel products totaled 604,000 tons in September, falling by 4.9% year on year and decreasing by 10.4% from a month ago. Among them, the imports of common steel products totaled 316,000 tons, falling by 8.3%; those of specialty steel products were at 47,000t tons, decreasing by 21.9%, both compared to the figures in a month ago.
