Kardemir, Turkish carbon steel producer, has reportedly declined its ex-work round bar prices by nearly US$35/ton to about US$600/ton for the local steel market owing to soft demand. The firm also reduced its rebar ex-work price with 12mm diameter to around US$590/ton, decreasing by around US$20/ton from previous announcement. On the other hand, Icda, another long product producer in Turkey, still keeps its ex-work bar prices at US$720/ton since early November. The 10mm diameter rebar ex-work price is around US$725/ton and 8mm diameter is nearly US$730/ton.
