Nan Ya Plastics is likely to shut its No. 2 monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant for maintenance turnaround in mid-July.
“The No.2 MEG plant is likely to be shut in mid-July 2013 and will remain off-stream for around one week,” a Nan Ya Plastics official informed fibre2fashion.
He further informed that No.4 MEG plant is currently under maintenance and is likely to restart in mid-June.
When quizzed on turnarounds at MEG plant No.1 & 3, he said that they do not have plans for a turnaround at these two plants this year.
Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, production capacities of No. 1, 2 & 3 MEG plants are 360 kt/year each and that of No. 4 is 720 kt/yr.
