In 2011 Malaysia plywood exports fell again by 14.9%to 3.170 million m^3,according to statistics compiled by the Malaysian Timber Industry Board.The export value,on the other hand,only slipped 1%to MYR5.103bn due to the significant rise in plywood prices during the course of 2011.As such,Malaysia plywood exports have dipped the third successive year.A year-on-year increase was last shown in 2008.In 2008 Malaysian companies still exported 4.625 million m?3 of plywood and in 2009 3.849 million m?3.The highest exports in the last decade were recorded in 2006 with 4.958 million m?3.Compared with that figure exports in 2011 were down by 36%.The export value fell less sharply by 28.1%from 2006 to 2011.
