Argentina's steel production in this September totaled at 462,600 tons, increasing by 16.8% if compare to the same month last year, according to Argentine Steel Chamber (CAA). However, this number was down by 3.4% compare to previous month. CAA said such increase is mainly due to breaks of many mills last year, including planes of new investment, annual maintenance and repairs. CAA's members include Ternium (Techint Group), Tenaris (Techint Group) and Acindar (ArcelorMittal).
