According to data released by the Chinese customs authorities, China's exports of finished steel totaled 5.41 million tons in May, decreasing by 2.52% from a month ago but jumping by 18.84% year on year. In the first five months of this year, the country's exports of finished steel products amounted to 25.4 million tons, rising by 15.4% year on year. Meanwhile, China's imports of finished steel products totaled 1.25 million tons, down by 0.79% month on month and falling by 5.3% year on year.
