It is reported that Chile domestic market's rebar shipping quantity in this April was 54,842 metric tons, hiking by 11.3% M-O-M and 9% Y-O-Y. The total rebar shipping quantity from this January to April in Chile was 216,149 tons, also growing by 7.8% Y-O-Y. The delayed construction projects have caused the rebar shipping quantity to be lower than most market participants' expected in this Q1. However, the demand has grown up sharply since this April. Some market participants expected the demand for rebar will keep going up in Chile domestic market due to the new developing construction projects.
