The Acquisition Brings MDA's Annual Turnover to Around £33m

Blackburn-based MDA, which specialises in supporting national marketing initiatives for some of the world's biggest drinks brands, has acquired The Fulfilment Store, an £8m-turnover business that operates from fulfilment centres in Rugby.

The acquisition brings MDA's annual turnover to around £33m and adds more than 50% to the business's warehousing, kitting and contract packing space ?to bring it to some 70,000m2.

It comes after MDA itself was bought by Bunzl, the £5.4bn-turnover logistics and packaging multinational, earlier in the year.

TFS supports the marketing execution of household-name brands and clients such as Morrisons, mobile phone network 3 and Mercedes Benz.

MDA managing director Dale Stokes said: "We've known the senior team at TFS for a long time and have admired the brand and business as a competitor.

"It's a business with great people that delivers outstanding service levels for clients and I'm delighted to get the opportunity to work alongside them in the coming years."

MDA's operations support the sourcing and distribution of POS materials and promotional merchandise for major drinks brands such as Coca Cola and Molson Coors.

The group recently launched a new service, 'Essentials', targeting smaller producers looking for project-based fulfilment rather than long-term contractual arrangements.
