Since the U.S. mills lift the price, the price of carbon steel cold rolled sheet has increased gradually. So far, the local ex-work price of hot rolled coil is around US$580~590/short ton and the price of cold rolled coil is about US$680~700/short ton with rebounding demand for automobile. Worthington Industries said recently that it holds an optimistic attitude towards the trend for the automobile industry in U.S. It believes the demand for cold rolled sheet from the automobile industry would enjoy a pick-up till 2017.
