Ford India Has Sold 10,948 Combined Domestic Wholesales and Export Units in October 2012

Ford India, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, has sold 10,948 combined domestic wholesales and export units in October 2012.

The company said that domestic demand remained steady with 7,577 vehicles sold in October 2012, compared to 8,091 units sold for the same period last year.

Ford India's exports increased by 20% to 3,371 cars in October 2012, compared to 2,815 units exported in the same period previous year.

In November 2012, Ford India had unveiled the New Ford Figo, which includes over 100 new features.

Ford India president and managing director Michael Boneham said that despite some of the ongoing market challenges, the company has again sold about 11,000 vehicles.

"The successful launch last month of the enriched New Figo further reinforces its reputation as a reliable, substantial vehicle with outstanding value," Boneham said.
