Tang Eng Mulls to Cut Is Stainless Steel Production Further in 2014

Tang Eng, one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan mulls to cut is stainless steel production further in 2014 since the supply continues exceeding demand. In November, Tang Eng’s crude stainless steel output at its Kaohsiung works in southern Taiwan totaled 18,000 tons and the company expected that its output would remain at the same level in December. The spokesman of Tang Eng said that the current output is around 60% of its monthly production capacity of 28,000~30,000 tons. Meanwhile, Tang Eng announced to keep its domestic prices for stainless hot rolled and cold rolled sheets and cols unchanged for December orders.
