Google is working on a feature for Google Maps that will allow it to guess your next destination.
Google Maps has come a long way since it was acquired by the search giant in 2004. These days it's the most popular way to get around using your smartphone.
One of the reasons it continues to lead is the fact that Google continues to make meaningful advancements and additions to it. The next one's a peach.
As pointed out by Android Police, the new driving mode that's being added uses your search and navigation history to predict where you're going during a drive. It will also supply traffic and ETA updates while you travel.
It seems the feature is a little awkward to get up and running at present, but hopefully Google will have this fixed for the general release.
Another new feature is a settings screen for the timeline feature, which was introduced to offer a clean list of places we've visited. Now you can adjust what you see here and examine which data is being collected.
The latest version of Google Maps also restores the audio toggle for turn-by-turn voice guidance to the main screen, in between the search and compass buttons.
Google Maps v9.19 is in the process of being pushed out to the Google Play Store, so it should be appearing on an Android phone near you some time over the coming weeks.
