Ledlink Opticswill Begin Cooperative Design in February 2013

Ledlink Optics,a Taiwan-based maker of LED optics used in LED lighting,has entered cooperation with five Japan-based suppliers of LED street lamps and will begin cooperative design in February 2013,according to the company.

Through introduction by its Japan sales agents,Ledlink has established cooperation with the five Japan-based LED street lamp suppliers Iwasaki,Inaba,Seiwa,Koito and Maruwa,Ledlink indicated.In addition,Ledlink is cooperating with additional Japan-based suppliers including Toshiba and Panasonic,the company noted.These suppliers are expected to reach a combined market share of over 50%for LED street lamps in Japan,Ledlink pointed out.

Ledlink currently has 40-45%of total revenues coming from outdoor LED lighting and LED lighting for engineering purposes,30-35%from residential and commercial LED lighting,the company indicated.The Japan market demand for LED street lamps in 2013 is expected to be six times that in 2012,while that for commercial LED lighting will be double,Ledlink indicated.

Ledlink will add 16 plastics-forming machines to a total of 142 ones at its factory in southern China in the second half of 2012,the company said.Ledlink completed a factory in eastern China in September 2012 and is installing 20 plastics-forming machines,with trial production to kick off in November and the production capacity to be expanded to 250 machines in total over the next three years,Ledlink indicated.

Ledlik has had 2,337 clients cumulatively,with the top 10 accounting for 28%of total revenues,the company noted.China is the largest market accounting for 52%of total revenues,Ledlink pointed out.
