On July 8, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (June 30-July 6) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.
Last week, the average prices of common medium plate and welded pipe in China decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.8 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) rose by 5.8 percent week on week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 1.3 percent week on week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal declined by 2.6 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.1 percent on week-on-week basis.
