On November 4, Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Co., Ltd (Chongqing Steel) announced that in the January-October period this year it achieved a pig iron output of 4,822,900 mt, a crude steel output of 4,876,600 mt, a finished steel output of 4,497,600 million mt and a coke output of 2,349,500 mt, all in line with its production targets for the given period.
Chongqing Steel's finished steel output for the January-October period this year was up 12.3 percent from 4,003,800 mt in the same period of 2012.
