It is reported that American Steel Pipe, which is based in Birmingham, Alabama announced that they are going to add a processing facility of its North Mill. American Steel Pipe, a division of American Cast Iron Pipe Company is reported to be investing more than US$55 million to build the new processing facility. The company currently manufactures electric-resistance-welded (ERW) steel pipe in diameters from 10.75 to 24 inches, it also supply ERW pipe for the oil and gas industries up to 84 feet in length. The new facility which is said to cover 150,000 square foot of space is hoping to contribute to the company by doubling its annual capacity. Construction for the new facility will start by the end of this year and is slated for completion in 2014.
