It's reported that South African ferrochrome supplier Merafe Resources Company stated that they have reached with the European stainless steel mills ferrochrome contract price for the third quarter at 112.5 cents / lb., falling by 14.5 cents / lb. from a quarter ago but at the equal level of the first quarter. At mean time, the South African ferrochrome suppliers have entered final stage of negotiation with Japanese mills on third-quarter ferrochrome contract price, and expect to reach an agreement soon.
