Production in Jan-Feb,21.3% Higher Compared with The Same Period of 2013

According to the report released by Argentina's steel chamber, in February this year the country's crude steel production was down 4.2 percent month on month and increased by 18.6 percent year on year, amounting to 380,300 metric tons. Production in the first two months of the current year totaled 777,400 metric tons, 21.3 percent higher compared with the same period of 2013.

In February this year, Argentina's production of hot rolled steel amounted to 361,200 metric tons, down 7.3 percent month on month and rising by 2.1 percent compared to February 2013. In the first two months of this year, the country's hot rolled steel production totaled 750,900 metric tons, up 1.8 percent year on year.

In February of the current year, Argentina's cold rolled flat steel production decreased by 6.9 percent month on month and increased by 19.7 percent year on year to 115,200 metric tons, while output increased by 4.8 percent year on year to 239,000 metric tons in the January-February period of this year.
