China Steel Corp. (CSC), the biggest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan announced to cut its domestic prices for hot rolled (HR) steel products by US$20/ton to China for June. After the adjustment, its export prices for HR steel products are at US$615~US$620/ton FOB. Industry sources said that CSC's new prices may be unfavorable to buyers as the prices are higher than the market price level. At present, the HR steel product prices in Southeast Asia are at US$570~US$580/ton CFR. The prices of boron-added hot rolled steel products are at US$550/ton in China.
