A smart watch,funded by crowd-sourced financing,which can receive texts and emails when linked to an Android or Apple phone will be in production later this month.
Called Pebble,the watch has 3.2cm e-ink black and white display and costs$150.
The project to develop Pebble started in April 2012 when the founder,Eric Migicovsky,asked for$100,000 on Kickstarter and got$10m after 38 days.
Initial production is set at 15,000 watches a week.
Apple and Intel are said to be producing a smart watch.The Peoples'Pebble seems to have pipped them to the post.
