Japanese Steel Prices Higher in May

Japanese steel prices higher in May. This is Japanese steel price the fourth month consecutive rise. Bank of Japan's corporate goods price index released CGPI shows Japan's domestic steel prices in May rose by 0.1% compared with April, but still down compared to the same period last year by 4.5%. Japanese yen denominated export prices of steel have been rising for seven consecutive months. The export of steel prices in May rose by 0.6%, but taking into account the depreciation of the yen factors, Japan's steel exports fell by 2.1%.
