Feng Hsin Has Tried to Keep Its Rebar Base Price Unchanged for This Week

Although Taiwan's Feng Hsin has tried to keep its rebar base price unchanged for this week, one of Southern Taiwan's rebar mill has still cut its rebar price a little bit in this week. The current rebar market price will be about NT$16,200/MT (about US$540/MT) which has cut NT$100/MT (about US$3.3/MT) than in last week. In order to get orders, Southern Taiwan's rebar mill do not set the minimum order quantity request for NT$16,200/MT rebar offer; plus, for 1,000 metric ton or more order quantity buyers, mill may provide extra price discount by NT$100/MT. One market analyst said, most of Taiwan's rebar stockists have run out of their in hand stock already; also, the global scrap price seems to rise again currently; the market analyst expected the rebar buying activity may restart again in this or next week.
