"MY BAG!" is the motto of the Creative Hands Award, which will be presented at Creativeworld from 25 to 28 January 2014. To be held for the second time, the competition spotlights creative work and textile design. This time, the search is on for individually designed and hand-crafted bags.
Anything goes – individual designs for a unique bag
They can be knitted, crocheted, sewn, woven, embroidered, knotted or wet felted: anything goes when it comes to the choice of material and individual creativity. The result can be handbags, clutches, shopping bags, laptop bags, smartphone cases or a wide variety of other bags in classy, casual, trendy, loud and unusual variations. After all, anything goes when it comes to design, too.
"Designer bags arouse yearnings, awaken interest in creativity and can be timeless. And this is exactly the direction we are taking with the second edition of the Creative Hands Award in 2014, which is being held under the motto, "MY BAG!" After all, a handmade bag is something special – something heartfelt", says textile designer Silke Bosbach, the founder and co-organiser of the Creative Hands Awards.
