According to data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Association (JISF), Japan's imports of steel products totaled 580,000 tons in June, decreasing by 5.9% from a month ago and falling by 9.8% year on year. Among them, 59,000 tons were specialty steel products, rising by 5.1% and 280,000 tons were ordinary steel products, decreasing by 13.2%, both compared to those in a month ago. For ordinary steel products, 59,700 tons were cold rolled steel sheets/coils, falling by 20.8%; 19,000 tons were galvanized steel sheets, decreasing by 23.7% and 120,000 tons were hot rolled plates/coils, down by 6.6%, all compared to those in a month ago.
