It’s reported that ArcelorMittal Ghent, an integrated iron and steel plant in Belgium has commissioned its modernized convert successfully. The convert was modernized by German SMS Siemag and it’s expected that the specific volume of the converter will be increased by around 15%. In the background, ArcelorMittal Ghent produces around 5 million tons of carbon steel flat products annually.
