The Decreases of Daily Crude Steel Output of Large and Medium-Sized Steel Decreases

On August 29, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in mid-August (Aug. 11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.739 million mt, down 1.45 percent compared to early August (Aug. 1-10).

Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in mid-August was estimated at 2.1181 million mt, indicating a decrease of 1.19 percent compared with early August.

Meanwhile, as of August 20 this year, inventory of the main finished steel products in major steel markets in China totaled 12.83 million mt, up 668,000 mt compared to the figure recorded on August 10.

According to the CISA's previous figures, in early August this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.7646 million mt, up 5.5 percent compared to late July (July 21-31). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in early August was estimated at 2.1437 million mt, indicating an increase of 2.7 percent compared with late July.
