Indian carmaker Mahindra's South Korean subsidiary Ssangyong Motor has unveiled the new XIV2 crossover at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show being held in China.

According to the car maker, the profile of the SsangYong XIV2 is similar to the Range Rover Evoque, marking the only common thing in the two models.

XIV2 is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol unit which will generate an output of 123hp while emits 127 g/km of CO2.

The 4,166 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,566 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, XIV2 is the second model to be produced by the company while the first being Korando.

SsangYong XIV2 is the successor to the company's XIV, which was first unveiled at Geneva motor show last month.

The crossover was designed by IDEA Group.
