US carmaker Ford motors has unveiled the new 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck featuring new driver controls technology.
The new pickup truck is offered with several powertrain options, which include a 3.7litre four-valve Ti-VCT V6 engine delivering 302hp output and 278 lb-ft of torque with fuel economony of 17 mpg in city and 23 mpg in highway.
F-150's second powertrain variant is a 5.0litre four-valve dual-overhead-camshaft Ti-VCT V8 engine, which produces 360hp output and delivers 21 mpg on highway.
The new pickup will also be offered with a 6.2litre two-valve single-overhead-camshaft V8 engine, which generates 411hp output and 434 lb-ft of torque, while offering 13 mpg in city and 18 mpg on highway.
Ford is also offering another F-150 variant which is powered by a 3.5litre Ti-VCT EcoBoost engine, which delivers 365hp output and 420 lb-ft of torque, as well as offers 16 mpg in city, 22 mpg on highway.
The carmaker said that all the engines are mated to an electronic six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode, with tow packages and STX series.
According to the company, the 2013 F-150 pickup features electronic-locking rear axle and Hill Descent Control, new front-end styling and enhanced technologies including MyFord Touch voice-activated driver controls and high-intensity discharge (HID)headlamps.
The company is also offering an optional suite of SYNC Services which include traffic information, turn-by-turn directions, business search, send to sync from google maps and mapquest, news, sports, weather and horoscopes.
